I thought it might be very, maybe a little academic or, very numbers heavy. I wasn't sure from the perspective of someone who hasn't really taken business courses before, if it would be digestible for me, and I found that it was.
You may believe you know why people should use testimonials, and whatever that belief is, is probably only partially true.
In this workshop, before we even get into the meat of the matter, you'll be introduced to what one of my mentors called, "the secret life of the lowly testimonial". And part of what you'll learn about the other life of the testimonial, are the other things it can do for you that you've simply never thought of.
When I learned this, I never thought of the testimonial the same again, and I'm willing to bet neither will you.
There are six questions you must ask someone in order to have covered the basics needed to produce a great video testimonial, or even a text testimonial for that matter.
We will tell you what they are and break each down by its significance, so you're convinced that to exclude any of them is to do your video testimonial an injustice.
And for good measure, we'll tackle the question of whether or you can ever deviate from them or not. The answer might actually surprise you.
Some people are more credible than their peers. And the same is just as true for testimonials. So what exactly makes one testimonial stand head and shoulders above others?
The short answer is it's not just one thing. The long answer is in this workshop.
We’ll walk you through the three things that makeup the credibility onion and show you, live, the power of layering credibility, one piece at a time.
Once done, you’ll be convinced that getting all three of these is your absolute mission when attempting to get any testimonial in the future.
By the time you get to the interview, it all starts coming together, as we take you through the strategy and tactics used to ensure we get the most out of any testimonial interview.
And we do so with example after example, so you’re not left in the dark about how you can duplicate our interview process for your own purposes.
Of course, no "how to section" would be complete without a companion "how not to section" to go along with it, and we're very careful to ensure you don't leave without knowing how to avoid interview landmines.
After a video testimonial is done is the most crucial part of the process, and that's because it’s still not finished.
You may have completed the interview process, and the interviewee may have answered all the questions, but that doesn’t mean you have something you can use.
We’ll show you how to go looking for the gold, if there’s any, and we’ll also show you how to clean things up so the words of the interviewee present you and your business in the best light possible.
We love video testimonials because when it's time to deploy them, they can be repurposed and re-used to create all the other formats, to include audio and text.
However, the latter can prove very difficult to translate from video, even though it's the most versatile in terms of where it can go.
In this section, we walk you through all the ways we slice and dice our testimonials for deployment online and offline, with special attention paid to prepping the text testimonials we create from our original videos.
Once you get this level of detail, you’ll truly see the power of the lowly testimonial in motion.

The vast majority of small businesses in Trinidad & Tobago have no testimonials, and the ones who do are only able to get the bare minimum from them in terms of the true potential power of a testimonial. If any of this resonates with you, then this course may very well be the right fit.
