To fully appreciate the benefits of joining the Chamber, it probably makes better sense to break those benefits down into categories.

Education: The Chamber has an education program that covers the five main areas of business, which are Marketing, Sales, Delivery, Operations and Finance. As a member, you get steep discounts on these programs which make their ROI even more significant.

Self Advocacy & Getting Your Voice Heard: As a Chamber member, you get to sit on committees that meet with the THA, the central government and other entities that affect day to day business in Tobago, and you get to share your ideas and voice your concerns directly with them.

Business Promotion: Once you become a member, there are at least four ways to promote you and your business that exists within the Chamber.
1. As a member, your business gets listed on our website if you're willing to have it there.
2. If you're looking for a new employee, you can post the job opportunity on our job board which gets promoted every two weeks when we run ads to it on Facebook.
3. Our blog also has a section called Member Spotlight, where the story of you and your business can be featured once there's a story there.
4. As well, if you can write well AND have a proven track record of results, you can write for our blog regularly and put your expertise on display for the world to see.

Networking & Mentorship: Our soon to be rolled out Mentor Sessions program will be matching business people who need knowledge with business people whose proven track records says they have it to share. And as a member, you get FREE ACCESS to two of those sessions per month in order to help your business grow.

For now, the process for joining the TTCIC, Tobago Division, still involves filling-in a physical application form and getting a recommender and another person to second your recommendation to go along with your application packet. Soon it will all happen online.

No it does not. We have members whose businesses are located in Trinidad yet they're members of the TTCIC, Tobago Division. Joining the chamber is a strategic decision on your part, and as long as you believe it makes sense for you to join, you shouldn't let your location in Trinidad stop you.

We see no reason why your Chamber dues would not be tax deductible. Your dues qualify as a business cost like many of the others costs you'd include as part of your business expenses.

To get more involved with the TTCIC, Tobago Division, I would do the following. . .

1. Become a member.
2. Join one of the Chamber's committees.
3. Attend committee meetings with stakeholders and share your ideas first-hand.

We do not have a listing of our events, but we do have an events calendar you can browse through, one month at a time, to see what's coming up for the Chamber.

Not at all. All of our events are geared to members and non-members alike. And while each event may serve a primary purpose, they're always supposed to help us bring in more members.
